Victor called me up early a saturday morning. Asking if I was interested in joining him, Malin and Tim on a trip to the national park of Söderåsen. Wanting to get away from Lund I took up his offer for a day in the colorful forest. We chose exactly the right time, the trees were shifting from green to bright red with a heavy fog covering the lowest parts of the ravine.

The assignment for this project was to transform a white plastic garden chair. We had to choose a design classic and from there select three different charactaristics to work with as a base for the transformation. Through some research we found Eileen Gray's side table and decided to use it for our chair. The three characteristics we found were: durable, cameleon and delicate.

Then we set to work, sketching, cutting, taping and taking parts away until we found an approach that conformed with the charactaristics of the design classic. A rather small project which was a lot of fun to work with.

Had just left Malin at the train station. It was so warm outside even though it was around 8 am. Was taking a stroll through Lund's narrow streets enjoying the peaceful evening. The sun was looking through the trees creating patterns on the pavement. Decided to take the road through Lund's botanical garden. There I met Albin. He was sitting against a tree reading a book. Haven't seen him at all during the summer even though he live in Lund.

I didn't know it then, but that was probably the last summer day.
