The forecast was saying sunny and blue sky all day long and having a bit of bad luck with the weather as of late we felt like taking advantage of this opportunity. Staying on the island and having a really lazy summer day. Martina being a moring person had already taken a walk together with David before I got up and was laying on the rocks sunbathing. David was working with the inflatable lifeboat. The idea was to take that as transport to Fjällbacka sometime during the day instead of the big boat. It would be too much of a hassle to bring it into port and out again for only a short visit.

David didn't succeed however. The engine hadn't been powered up at all this season and was dead. During that time the rest of us had doing pretty much nothing. I had been fishing but without luck. The wind had been picking up speed and it was almost time for us to head back to Bovallsstrand.

When we finally got out on the water the wind was blowing really hard. The big boat had a hard time in the up-wind. Normally doing around 5 knots was now doing 2-3 knots. When we got to a part on course to Bovallstrand where we was forced to head out on the open sea outside the archipelago we could see the white ways. on our way there we had been passed by two coast guard boats and we could see why. David as captain decided to head back and see if we could find a place to rest out the bad weather.

Tired and hungry we laid to outside another boat in Hamburgsund. Took in on a resturant before heading to bed.

Still in the harbour in Grebbestad the next day we saw a change in weather. Went out early to eat breakfast at a breakfast buffé. Taking advantage of being in a populated area. After breakfast Andreas and Diana packed their things and left for the bus back to Bovallstrand. The rest of us left harbour. This time we steered the course south. The weather was good and we could set sail. Only being four on the boat made it easier. Felt more at home now on the boat and more eager to learn. Still being clumsy I managed to accidentally throw a crank into the salon.

Eventually we found ourselves outside Fjällbacka. Feeling a bit saturated by harbours and people we was looking for a natural harbour on an island nearby. After awhile looking we found an island called Korsön. Situated across Fjällbacka and with few boats around, it made a good choice. Beautiful island with lots of berries and fruits growing on there. All four of us took a walk around. It was a rather big island with lots of heights. The wind had settled. It was warm in the air. Perfect for a barbeque.

With our bellies filled with some delicious food we laid back enjoying the last bit of sunlight. If only everyday was like this one. With the sun resting behind the horizon the raised the tent over the boat. Martina prepared some mugs with irish coffee and took out her newly purchased deck of cards fully decorated by disney princesses. After having played a game or two we took each a can of beer and headed out. We sat ourselves down at the top of the hill with the view over the boat and with Fjällbacka far in the background. We sat there until the last light had left the sky and the only lightsource left was the kerosene lamp.

I woke up by the rain hitting the hull. Got this "tent feeling". Cozy but not wanting to get up knowing what awaits. Me and Daniel was sharing the same bunk compartement. He was already in action getting ready to step out for breakfast in the salon. Not being a moring person I wasn't feeling the same enthusiasm. Have always had difficult to eat right after waking up. The salon was cramped. Felt the change of suddenly being six people inside the boat. The rain didn't look like it would stop soon. David and Andreas was disscusing where to head next. Talking about continue the course north.

Once everyone had geared up with raincoats we took off. It might sound weird but this is probably one of the best days during the whole trip. I liked how the bad weather didn't affect the spirit of the company. I got to help out with navigating the map and David taught me what the different symbols and arrows signified. The only one who I could see which was being suppressed by the weather was Martina. She had earlier exlained what a "sun-person" she was and I could finally see what she meant by that. She wasn't grumpy or any of the sort but the always cheerful and energetic Martina was awfully quiet the whole trip.

The goal was Grebbestad, a small fishing village. For once when we got in the harbour we had no problem finding a good spot to lay to with the boat. Easy, quick and a good spot to boot. After reassuring the boat stayed in place, filling up with freshwater and paying the harbour fee we set of. Everyone was hungry, not eating anything since breakfast. The rain was still pouring down. Soaked and hungry we found a resturant. Burgers and beer was a given.

Outside Grebbestad in Tanum was a big sport outlet. With nothing better to do we decided to take a look after finishing up lunch. The rain had stopped and the air was warm. Inside the outlet was a ton of people. With the bad weather it felt like everyone had gathered here in lack of other activities. The outlet was big. Was hard to find anything when it was so much to look at. But somehow I found a backpack. And Martina one as well but in bright pink.

Back at the boat the weather seemed to be changing for the better. The sun was looking through the clouds from time to time. Changed to shorts and t-shirt. Took a beer in the wait of the girls would get ready. Found a good resturant namned Terassen (The Terrace) where I ate one of the best seafood pastas I ever eaten.

After a few beers on the boat we decided to go out. The rest of the company had spent most of the time on the boat giving me tips on how to pick up girls. Right. Suddenly I felt the pressure. The guys were pointing out girls giving me pointers and tips. Eventually I did a rather embarrassing attempt. After that I gave up.
